Musical Theatre for the Next Generation
LEARN AT
Throughout the country young, aspiring performers are entering and completing undergraduate and graduate programs in musical theatre with the dream of coming to New York City. This training is invaluable as they craft their art, however many of them arrive in New York having never shared the stage with professionals in the industry.
New City Music Theatre makes this possible by providing a bridge that connects current Broadway performers with the next generation of great actors, dancers and singers who will grace Broadway stages.
NCMT helps foster successful career paths in the theatre through training intensives, masterclasses, and internships with Tony award-winning artists and industry professionals. Our productions frequently feature Broadway natives alongside aspiring performers, giving new artists the unique opportunity to learn from professionals in the “real world.”

"Being in the rehearsal room with NCMT feels like at least a year’s worth of a BFA program packed into an amazing and educational real-world performing experience. I can’t recommend working with them enough. They continue to inspire young performers to take the next step in their careers.”

LAUREN TIDMORE
"I had the pleasure of starting my relationship with NCMT during their College Prep Intensive where I made connections to further my studies and gained first-hand experience working with industry professionals. Because of NCMT, so many young professionals have the opportunity to be a part of the New York theatre scene.“
